Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre run a number of training courses each year. These courses are normally requested by both volunteers and organisations and we try to offer free or where possible subsidise the cost of training to allow as many of our community to benefit from all the training run at the centre.

This is a 3 hour Introduction to Safeguarding Children and the course covers:
The main categories of abuse and the forms it can take
- Possible signs & indicators of abuse
- Key legislation & regional guidance
- Know how to respond to a child/young person who discloses abuse
- Know how to report concerns
The course is also suitable for those wanting to refresh their knowledge on safeguarding children.

The workshop aims to target those who are involved in the management committee of a community organisation and would like some advice and training around how to manage your group more effectively.
Training will help develop a better understanding of roles and responsibilities of committee members; how to be a more effective committee and how to improve governance within your organisation
