Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre run a number of training courses each year. These courses are normally requested by both volunteers and organisations and we try to offer free or where possible subsidise the cost of training to allow as many of our community to benefit from all the training run at the centre.

As a Volunteer Centre we do our best to ensure training is meeting the needs of our volunteers and organisations in our local community. We also offer FREE to organisations registered with the Volunteer Centre guidance on volunteer management, best practice, templates etc.

Booking Essential
This is a 6-hour course endorsed by Safe Cert and aimed at those who support and manage volunteers either in a paid or unpaid capacity.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the role and importance of volunteer management
- Recognise key principles and best practice for involving volunteers
- Volunteer Involvement – Recognise how volunteers are involved and contribute
- Making Volunteering happen – Explain different ways for inclusion in volunteering
- Volunteer inclusion – Explain different ways for inclusion in volunteering
- Welcoming volunteers – Describe ways to welcome volunteers
- Valuing Volunteers – Identify how to value and recognise volunteers
*Assessment will include short answer questions and workbook submitted at the end.

Basic First Aid Workshop
Monday 8 June
6pm - 7.30pm
This practical first aid training workshop, helps learn basic lifesaving skills using everyday objects. The workshop is not accredited, but is a free and simple way to improve your first aid knowledge and build confidence.
During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to practice hands-on techniques for administering CPR, treating wounds, and stabilising injuries. By the end of the workshop, attendees will feel more confident in their ability to respond to medical emergencies and provide crucial assistance until professional help arrives.
