They can do many activities such as canoeing, boating, rafting, and many other water activities. They follow a badge scheme of many different badges to be obtained along the way. The badges are from many areas such as hobbies, music, swimming, crafting and there are many more. The Scout section camp and do many different activities in camp life, like fire making, wood building etc.
About the Organisation
Every year we help over 10,000 young people in Northern Ireland enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
We continue to grow with more and more young people joining in the adventure every day. With 163 Scout Groups and 80 Explorer Scout Units across Northern Ireland you are never far from somewhere to get involved.
You can join once you are 6 and are never too old to take part. Scouting is open to all no matter who you are, your gender, where you come from or your faith if any. As a youth movement, every young person has the right to join. Come along and experience life changing experiences.
Working alongside our youth members are thousands of adult volunteers, with a huge variety of roles and opportunities.

Volunteers may be required to complete an Access NI disclosure for some volunteering roles. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a volunteer position.
