About the Volunteer Opportunity

The Beavers are aged 6 to 8 yrs. old. They come from all walks of life and all backgrounds. There is a varied program of many different things such as craft, games, badge work, visits, trips, stories, painting, colouring, and many other things too many to name. They join other groups at times to do a camp overnight or days out like Beaver Rally Day, which is a big FUN Day organized by Scout HQ. No Volunteer has to pay for anything. If they want to become a leader, they can do training or if they want to be a helper that’s fine too.  Fun and Friendship is our motto.

About the Organisation

Every year we help over 10,000 young people in Northern Ireland enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We continue to grow with more and more young people joining in the adventure every day. With 163 Scout Groups and 80 Explorer Scout Units across Northern Ireland you are never far from somewhere to get involved.

You can join once you are 6 and are never too old to take part. Scouting is open to all no matter who you are, your gender, where you come from or your faith if any. As a youth movement, every young person has the right to join. Come along and experience life changing experiences.

Working alongside our youth members are thousands of adult volunteers, with a huge variety of roles and opportunities.
