About the Volunteer Opportunity
Our planet is facing a nature and climate emergency but we strongly believe we can make a difference. Are you a passionate youth campaigner, (aged between teens and twenties) If so, come join our team.
With a host of important moments in UK and Ireland’s environmental calendar coming up, there has never been a better time to get involved.
The RSPB began as a campaigning organisation and have secured positive change on a whole host of issues. Now more than ever we need the support of as many people and communities as possible, who are willing to lobby their local, country and national governments, write letters, share our campaign asks on social media platforms and take part in environmental actions.
This might be your first step into campaigning, or you might already be a social media influencer, or part of a local community, university or school campaigning group, whatever your experience, we need you! The role has flexible asks on your time depending on the campaign and the urgency.
As part of our campaign team we offer the opportunity to develop new and existing skills needed to be an effective campaigner. You will have the chance to make a difference to the world we live in for today and for future generations.
From rallying and speaking at the Global Day of Action, attending training and conferences at Belfast WOW, getting involved in RSPB conservation work, making TV and media appearances and most recently demonstrating outside Stormont, our Youth Campaigners get involved in a lot of varied work – so, come join us!
About the Organisation
The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds & all wildlife, helping to create a better world for everyone. Our conservation work ranges from education to campaigning, from people engagement to bird recovery projects. The need for our work increases as the pressure on the environment grows, and this is where you can come in.
