About the Volunteer Opportunity

Kindness of Strangers is a Social Enterprise managed by Kinship Care NI and are currently looking for Volunteers for their Charity Shops based in Magherafelt.

What does the role involve?

  • To assist and serve customers, providing a good level of customer service
  • To assist with processing donated stock, including sorting, pricing and hanging of items
  • To assist in keeping the shop tidy, visually appealing and displaying items in an attractive way
  • To be involved with the till operation and handling of cash (although this is not a necessary (requirement)
  • To assist in ensuring health and safety processes are followed and any maintenance issues are reported
  • To assist in daily tasks including cleaning, tidying and hovering
  • To promote the work of Kinship Care and the importance of raising funds through the shop


About the Organisation

Kinship Care supports children who cannot be cared for by their own parents to live safely and securely within their own families and communities.  Kindness of Strangers is a Social Enterprise managed by Kinship Care NI.

Volunteers may be required to complete an Access NI disclosure for some volunteering roles.  A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a volunteer position.
