About the Volunteer Opportunity

Guide Dogs NI are hoping to establish a fundraising group in Magherafelt and are looking for a treasurer to look after the finances. Treasurers help to maintain accurate records of all income, code incoming donations, bank all funds promptly and issue receipts to donors.

It’s a great opportunity to use existing numerical and financial skills including basic maths skills and confidence handling money. You will get the chance to meet with and volunteer alongside new people (as well as our furry four-legged friends) and be a part of an inclusive and fun team! Most importantly, you’ll be making a real difference by helping Guide Dogs to provide life changing services to people living with sight loss.

About the Organisation

Guide Dogs exists to provide life changing services to the 360,000 people who are registered blind or partially sighted, and the two million people in the UK living with sight loss. They provide a range of services with and beyond the dog to help people with sight loss live actively, independently and well.

Volunteers may be required to complete an Access NI disclosure for some volunteering roles.  A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a volunteer position.
