Disability Action – Onside Project
About the Volunteer Opportunity
ONSIDE (Outreach and Navigation for Social Inclusion and Digital Engagement) is a cross border project created to address the social isolation experienced by disabled people. Our aim is to create community connections for disabled people – both locally and online.
Peer Volunteers help mentor and support ONSIDE participants to create community connections and enhance their digital skills. This volunteer role takes only 2 – 3 hours per week, and can be done flexibly according to your schedule.
Peer Volunteers are an invaluable aspect of the ONSIDE project. If you have basic digital skills that you can share with others, either from being on one of our training courses or from experience gained elsewhere, we would welcome your contribution to creating community with and for disabled people!
This volunteer role happens online, mostly through zoom and WhatsApp calls.
ONSIDE particularly welcome volunteers with lived experience of disability. We are a pan disability organisation, so it can be any form of impairment

Volunteers may be required to complete an Access NI disclosure for some volunteering roles. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a volunteer position.
