Support at Home Volunteer
British Red Cross
About the Volunteer Opportunity
If you are compassionate and like helping and meeting people, then this could be the role for you. Volunteers like you provide people in their local community with support to help them in a time of need possibly through illness, isolation or help build confidence after a stay in hospital. Whether it is to help with shopping, taking to an appointment or checking in on someone over the phone, it makes a difficult and distressing time a little bit easier. Spread the power of kindness with us and help make sure that those who need support get it.
Volunteers must be aged 18+ and live within 10 miles of Ballygawley, Dungannon, Donaghmore, Moy, Augher, Clogher, Fivemiletown or Aughnacloy.
The service operates Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm and can you spare 2-3 hours a week to help?
Volunteer need to hold a driving licence that entitles them to drive in the UK and have access to a vehicle.
About the Organisation
The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global network of volunteers, responding to natural disasters, conflicts and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people at home and overseas to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help people to recover and move on with their lives.

Volunteers may be required to complete an Access NI disclosure for some volunteering roles. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a volunteer position.
